An app, not a browser tab
devBoard is an app you install. It runs on iPhone, Android and Mac. There is no web version. A web version is a tool that runs in a browser tab. devBoard does not, on purpose.
How it works
Each platform gets its own build of the same app. The desktop build is made for a mouse and a keyboard. It has a command palette, single-key shortcuts and, on a Mac, a real menu bar. The phone build has rows, sheets and big tap targets. It is not the desktop layout with the sidebar taken off.
The app keeps a copy of your workspace outline and your My Work list on the device. So it opens at once, even with no signal. Boards need a connection to show their cards. Edits need one too. When the connection is back, the app catches up on what it missed.
Where to get it
| Platform | Where | Status |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | App Store | Out now |
| Mac | App Store | Out now |
| Android | Google Play | Out now |
| Windows | This page | Coming soon |
| Linux | This page | Coming soon |
An example: Luka, Mira and Ivan
Luka, Mira and Ivan are a three-person studio. They ship a mobile app. Luka works on a Mac. Mira is on an Android phone most of the day. Ivan has an iPhone and a Mac.
Luka drags a card to Done on his Mac. Mira sees it move on her phone, with no refresh. Ivan starts the timer on a task from his iPhone on the train. At his desk, the timer is still running on his Mac. Same workspace, three devices, one board.
What it does not do
- No web version, and there will not be one. Here is why.
- No Windows or Linux app yet. Both are being packaged.
- No offline work. You can read your My Work list without a connection. Boards and changes need one.
Set it up
Install the app from the store. Sign in with your email, Google or Apple. Make a workspace, or accept an invite from your team. On a Mac you can also connect an AI assistant.
Questions people ask
Is there a Windows app?
Not yet. The Windows and Linux builds exist in the code, but they are not packaged for download. We will post them here when they are ready.
Does it work offline?
Partly. The app keeps a copy of your workspace outline and your My Work list on the device. So it opens at once with no signal. Boards need a connection to show their cards, and so do edits. When you are back online, the app catches up.
Is the Mac app a wrapped website?
No. It is built with Flutter, the same code as the phone app, compiled for the Mac. It has a real menu bar and remembers your window size. It does not use Apple's own controls.
Free while in early access; paid plans will be one plain number, posted here first.
