# devBoard > devBoard is a simple project tracker for freelancers and small dev teams. Boards, epics, releases and time tracking in an app for iPhone, Android and Mac, with an MCP server for AI assistants. devBoard is a project tracker for freelancers and small dev teams, made by App Tube (Serbia). It is an app for iPhone, Android and Mac. There is no web version. Windows and Linux apps are coming. What it has: kanban boards, epics with tasks and subtasks, releases, tags, saved views, comments with @mentions, an activity log, file attachments, a timer and manual time entries on every task, a My Work screen with Overdue / Today / This week / Later buckets, realtime sync, workspaces with owner / admin / member / guest roles, and a GitHub pull request link. AI assistants: devBoard is an MCP server at https://api.getdevboard.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP, Bearer token made in the Mac app under Settings → Developer). It works with Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Claude Desktop. 29 tools: read and search items, create and edit them, comment, move cards, start and finish work, run the timer, log time, read a timesheet, manage personal to-dos, plan releases. What it does not have, on purpose: docs, chat, automations, custom fields, Gantt charts, sprints (releases are the substitute), import or export, a web app. Price: free while in early access; paid plans will be one plain number, posted on the site first. ## Product - [devBoard: a simpler project tracker for small dev teams](https://getdevboard.app/): A simpler project tracker for freelancers and small dev teams. Boards, epics, releases and a timer in an app for iPhone, Android and Mac. Works with AI assistants. - [Connect your AI assistant](https://getdevboard.app/mcp): Connect devBoard to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or Claude Desktop over MCP. Your assistant can read, create and edit items, comment, move cards and track time. - [Who makes devBoard](https://getdevboard.app/about): devBoard is made by App Tube, a small studio in Serbia led by Darko Bačić. Why it exists, what we will not build, and where your data lives. - [Changelog](https://getdevboard.app/changelog): Every devBoard release in plain words: what is new, what got fixed, and which apps got it. Updated with each App Store and Google Play release. ## Features - [An app, not a browser tab](https://getdevboard.app/features/platforms): devBoard is an app, not a website. Get it on the App Store for iPhone and Mac, and on Google Play for Android. Windows and Linux are next. - [Boards that stay readable](https://getdevboard.app/features/boards): A kanban board where each card shows four things. Rename, recolour and reorder up to 20 columns. Drag on a Mac, swipe on a phone. - [Epics, tasks and subtasks](https://getdevboard.app/features/epics-tasks-subtasks): Three levels of work and no setup. An epic holds tasks, a task holds subtasks, and the fields are one short, fixed list. - [Time tracking on the task you are doing](https://getdevboard.app/features/time-tracking): Start a timer on the task you are doing, or log time you forgot to track. Each task shows its total next to its estimate. No extra app. - [Releases](https://getdevboard.app/features/releases): Give a version a name and a target date, tag tasks for it, and mark it shipped when it goes out. Small teams use releases instead of sprints. - [My Work](https://getdevboard.app/features/my-work): One list of the tasks assigned to you, sorted into Overdue, Today, This week, Later and No date. Plus a private to-do list with reminders. - [Saved views](https://getdevboard.app/features/saved-views): Build a filter once, name it and keep it. Show it as a board or a list, for one project or all of them, just for you or for the workspace. - [Realtime, without refreshing](https://getdevboard.app/features/realtime): When someone moves a card, you see it move. There is no refresh button. If your connection drops, the app catches up on what you missed. - [Drive it from the keyboard](https://getdevboard.app/features/keyboard): A command palette on ⌘K, one-key shortcuts for My Work and new tasks, and 1 to 9 to move a task between columns. Plus a real Mac menu bar. - [Pull requests on the card](https://getdevboard.app/features/github-pull-requests): Put a task key in a GitHub pull request and it shows on the task. When the pull request opens, merges or closes, the card can move too. - [One workspace per client](https://getdevboard.app/features/workspaces): Keep each client in its own workspace, with its own members, roles and logo. Invite people by email. A guest can look and comment. - [Comments, mentions and your inbox](https://getdevboard.app/features/comments-and-notifications): Talk about the work on the task itself. Mention people with @, attach files up to 10 MB, and get a push when your tasks change. ## Compare - [devBoard vs ClickUp](https://getdevboard.app/compare/devboard-vs-clickup): ClickUp puts tasks, docs, chat and automations in one tool. devBoard is a small tracker with a timer.
